SPINACH-STRAWBERRY
Strawberry spinach, from its Latin name Blitum capitatum, is a highly original annual plant. Its leaves are triangular and pointed, like spinach or arrowroot, but it also develops red or pink fruits at the base of its leaves, reminiscent of small strawberries (hence its name). It's the leaves that are eaten, raw or cooked, and not the fruits, which can be toxic. Strawberry spinach has a high oxalic acid content, so we recommend consuming it in moderation. Our organic Strawberry Spinach is perfectly suited to use as a seedling, in a mixture of different species for example.
