LAVANDER
Lavandula angustifolia, also known as true lavender, lavender officinalis or fine lavender, is prized for its short, highly fragrant flower spikes. This species is particularly prized for the olfactory quality of its essential oil, which is highly prized in perfumery. It is also used in infusions, cooking, bouquets, decoration, etc.
It differs from lavandin, a natural hybrid of fine lavender and spike lavender, which is more sought-after in industry.
