VALERIANE
Valerian officinalis is a perennial herbaceous plant endemic to Europe, where it is easy to grow. In France, it is mainly found in the Anjou region, where between 30 and 60 hectares are dedicated to its cultivation. Valerian officinalis belongs to the Caprifoliaceae (ex-Valerianaceae) family. Its roots are used in French pharmacopoeia and traditionally prescribed for minor sleep disorders.
