A flagship herbal species, ubiquitous in the Mediterranean basin. Its aroma is characteristic. However, nuances vary according to cultivar (lemon, aniseed, cinnamon).
Fresh ? Industrial ? Container-grown? At VOLTZ Maraîchage, you're bound to find the basil seed variety you need. What's more, we've just added a new genetic variety to our range. HILD Samen, a German breeder specializing in aromatic plants. A long-standing partner whose activities were taken over by GRAINES VOLTZ in June 2020.
In recent years, basil foliage has suffered from commercially damaging attacks of mildew. To date, genetic improvement is the only effective solution. We have selected new varieties with high tolerance to the races of downy mildew most prevalent in Europe.

LOKI is a new-generation Genovese basil. It's a sure bet for short circuits. It has a good level of tolerance to mildew. A key asset in view of the considerable damage caused by this disease in recent years. Very homogeneous, LOKI also has the advantage of performing well in cold conditions. The plant measures between 20 and 30 cm in height. And all in softness: LOKI is just as well suited to the fresh market as to the industrial one.
